We count on you to keep on exploring silences.
At Divergente, we do independent journalism. We demand the time and space to explore the silences throughout the contemporary world. We believe that rigour is more important than speed and that the number of views is not the only quality measurement criteria. We investigate relevant issues, delve into details and reveal layers, give a voice to those who normally are not heard, challenge perspectives.
We’re a non-profit publication and we don’t accept advertising revenue. So far, our projects have been partially supported by European investigative journalism grants and academia projects, but these are insufficient to cover the real costs of our investigative work.
We want to build a community that gives us support and contributes to the selection and scrutiny of issues we investigate. A community which gets involved in the discussions and allows us to narrow the distance between journalism and the public. We want to hold public debates about our projects and the processes that led up to them, to contribute not only to a better informed society but also to greater transparency in the journalism we do.
If you believe in the importance of this kind of journalism, contribute now.
